Today has been an emotional day. We were at the tsunami memorial, cemetary, and talking with one particular family about their experiences in the tsunami. There are not adequate words to describe the feelings and emotions I have today. Yesterday we worshipped at two different Lutheran churches and the people were wonderful. Both are in the tsunami affected area and after the service spoke about their experiences. We met people who now have a saving faith in Jesus because of what happened after the disaster. Two of our pastor friends preached yesterday, two more preach next Sunday, and Keith and the other two will lead the seminars for the pastors and lay people in Bangkok later this week.
The first few days here our hosts had us experiences the sights, sounds, tastes, and places in this area. The 12 hour time change has been a major challenge for all of us but I am doing better with it than I originally thought. We have taken so many pictures each day that we will have lots to share.
That's about all for now. We are sharing the Internet with the other couples here. We had two days of significant storms, somewhat like our tropical storms and category one hurricanes, so Internet was not an option. We are staying in a hotel here, but even though it is pretty nice, it does not have the conveniences that we are used to.
God's blessings to you all!
